Membership Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the Rooted Legacies Membership! Before you get Loc’d in to the amazing benefits, please read everything here so that you know what to expect.

MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT
When purchasing the Loc Legacies membership, the client acknowledges that the terms and conditions of said membership is recognized as a binding contract between the client (also known as “Member”) and Aissa Aset Bey and Loc Legacies. Loc Legacies membership rights and benefits are to commence when a Member electronically agreed to and ticked the checkbox for the terms and conditions and has purchased a membership.

MEMBERSHIP
Loc Legacies and Aissa Aset Bey reserves the rights to:
Change terms and conditions
Adopt additional rules
Adjust regulations
Alter policies
Modify procedures
Terminate Loc Legacies membership or a Member’s membership
Changes to the membership programs, by Aissa Bey, can take place at any time without prior written notice to Member.

 By participating in a membership program, the Member agrees to these terms and conditions, rules, and regulations. Members are responsible for remaining knowledgeable about Loc Legacies terms and conditions. Members agree to pay a monthly or yearly fee to partake in Loc Legacies Memberships. Members may request to upgrade or downgrade their membership. 
A Membership at Loc Legacies entitles each Member to a variety of benefits, including the following:

15% off all Loc Legacies Products and Merch all year
Free Birthday Retwist/interlock + Simple Style (deposit will be refunded!)
One Free Legacy Steam Detox
20% off LocAversary Retwist
50% off* after-hours fee ~ once per month
Zero-fee* after-hours ~ once per month (COPPER, GOLDEN, MICROLOCS EDITION members access)
Zero-fee** for closed-days ~ once per month (GOLDEN and MICROLOCS EDITION members access)
Top Priority Booking on Wait List all year (GOLDEN and MICROLOCS EDITION members access)
One free henna session for one hand (GOLDEN and MICROLOCS EDITION members access)

*after-hours fees normally = xtra $50 per session (FREE for Copper & Golden Members)
**closed-day fees normally = xtra $75 per session (FREE for Golden Members)

• • **Discounts for Closed-days and after-hours cannot be combined.
    • When booking, choose your services and add-ons like you normally would.
    • You will pay the normal deposit for some services.
    • If you pay deposit on a FREE membership benefit-service, you will be refunded at the end of your appointment time.
    • If you cancel same-day or no-show, your deposit will not be refunded nor transferred to another appointment time
    • Please note that all Member discounts will be given at the end of every appointment.
    • Monthly benefits do not roll over. Each “per month” benefit must be used within the 30 days of each calendar month.
    • Un-used benefits do not roll-over. Our memberships intend to encourage the Members to get Locs cared for every 4-6 weeks .
  • Membership Expense
    The Loc Legacies “Rooted Legacies” and any other memberships are yearly memberships with set prices. Monthly memberships may be created as well. Once a membership is purchased, the membership fee will not recur unless it is a monthly membership. Gratuities are not included in the monthly membership prices.
    Any services that are not included in the benefits will be charged the regular current price.
    All product benefits are for in-store purchase only. Any products that are not a brand of Loc Legacies or UniVersal Dreads LLC will not be included in the benefits.
  • Contact
    Members agree to allow Aissa Aset Bey and any assistants to communicate via email, call, text, or through external websites. Aissa Aset Bey may use these channels to communicate with Member about account status, membership changes, altered policies, special offers, promotions, or other matters Aissa believes may be of interest to Member.

Membership Limitations
Discounts on products apply to in-store purchases only. Discounts and membership are non-transferrable and can only be used by Member. To redeem membership discounts, Members must provide their name and identify themselves as a Loc Legacies Member. Loc Legacies stylists reserves the right to request proper identification from a Member before providing discounts or services. In order to receive a birthday benefit, Member must provide a date of birth when signing up OR state ID/U.S. issued Passport.

Birthday and LocAversary

Birthday benefits may be redeemed 5 days before, the day of, or 5 days after Member’s birthday. Birthday benefits will expire if not used within the allotted time-frame. Cannot be booked on a closed-day.
Locaversay benefits may be redeemed the exact same way as Birthday Benefits.

Cancellations:
Memberships can be cancelled within 30 days of purchase. Any benefits used within those 30 days will be deducted at value from the refund amount.
No refunds are given after 30 days of membership purchase.
There are exceptions that we humans will consider and refunds will be given, minus calculated used benefits dating back to the original purchase. Exceptions for refund are:
• Business bankrupts or closes indefinitely.
• There is a death in the immediate family of the Member. Proof is required via news paper article or valid obituary website mentioning the exact name of the Member as one left to mourn.
• Hospitalization or incapacitation of Member for more than 30 days. Proof required.

Aissa Aset bey may decide to cancel at full discretion if it is determined that Member is in violation of the General Terms and Conditions of Services which Member was required to agree to upon booking any and all services with Loc Legacies / UniVersal Dreads LLC.
Memberships must be cancelled in-store or via Phone by contacting 1-833-iAM-LOCD. To cancel your membership, please provide your name, phone, and the date you’d like to cancel.
Unused benefits, add-ons and discounts have no cash value. All benefits will expire upon cancellation. Member cannot redeem unused benefits, add-ons, or discounts for cash or store credit. Member will not receive a refund for any unused benefits, add-ons, or discounts at any time during membership or upon cancelation. All customers must agree to The General Terms And Conditions outside of this agreement. The Terms And Conditions can be viewed here as well as inside of the booking sequence.

Loc Legacies / Universal Dread LLC Will Not Be held liable if any part of this document is misunderstood or misconstrued by the customer or member.

None Of The Provisions Of These Terms And Conditions Shall Be Deemed To Constitute A Partnership Or Agency Between Loc Legacies, UniVersal Dreads LLC or its tenants or associates.

Notwithstanding Anything To The Contrary Contained In This Terms And Conditions And Any Circumstances Whatsoever, Loc Legacies, UniVersal Dreads LLC, Shall Not Be Liable For Any Incidental, Ancillary, Direct, Indirect, Special Or Consequential Damages Including But Not Limited To Lost Profits Or Injury Or Death, Whether In Contract Or Based On Any Theory Of Liability.

Disputes, If Any, Will Be Subject To Laws Governed by the State of Nebraska.
